Thai caravan visits Danang, to discuss tourism ties with Vietnam
17:54 04/03/2009 ![]() Pirom Simasatie, deputy office manager of the Thai Ministry of Tourism and Sports, is leading the delegation. The visitors met executives of travel companies and luxury hotels. Local authorities showed them the 200km-long Highway 9 linking southern Laos with Vietnam’s Quang Tri province, which is full of objects and monuments related left over from Vietnam’s military campaigns against the invading US forces before 1975. In Danang, the visitors also saw a section of the East-West Economic Corridor, which runs 1,450km through Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, and Myanmar.
