Express train connecting northern honeypots opens

The Halong Express, running on the Hanoi-Ha Long route, was opened on Monday
An express train connecting Hanoi’s Gia Lam District and the popular northern tourist hotspot of Ha Long City was put into operation on Monday, Sai Gon Giai Phong newspaper reported. The Halong Expresss, built and imported by South Korea’s Dongrim Railway Transport, consists of five coaches and a dining car. Each 62 seat coach is air conditioned and come with onboard televisions. One-way tickets for international tourists are US$15 per person and US$10 for domestic travelers. The train departs from Gia Lam Station at 7:05 a.m. and arrives at Ha Long at 12p.m. Tourists traveling from Ha Long City to Hanoi will depart at 3p.m. and arrive at 8:05p.m. Dongrim will provide free pickup for groups of ten tourists, or more, at two locations in Hanoi and Ha Long City.
