The contest’s topic is photographers’ experience about the Earth Hour campaign in Vietnam, for example the moment when lights are turned off from 8.30 to 9.30pm on March 28 or people’s participation in this programme.
The Earth Hour Vietnam programme will choose the winning photos, which will be used in national publications.
The winning photos may also be used for next-year’s Earth Hour campaign in Vietnam or in the world.
The prize will be a Canon IXUS camera. If the winner doesn’t live in Hanoi, WWF will provide travel expenditures while Vietnam Airlines will give the individual a free air ticket to go to Hanoi for the awards ceremony.
All people living in Vietnam, including foreigners, can take part in the contest. Each individual can send up to ten photos via post or by email before April 6, 2009 to the following address: Earth Hour photo contest 2009, WWF Vietnam, 39 Xuan Dieu, Tay Ho, Hanoi or Ho Thanh Lan, email: landhothanh@wwwfgreatermekong.org.
