Vietnam joins Bangladesh Francophone Week

The Vietnamese embassy is joining the embassies of other Francophone countries in Bangladesh to organise the 2009 Francophone Week in the country’s capital Dhaka from March 16-23.      

 

A series of cultural and social activities are being held during the week-long festival, including a French-language contest, book and photography exhibitions, concerts and a French film week.

The organising board has also published leaflets highlighting the cultural characteristics of a number of Francophone countries.

The annual Francophone Week is not only a festival for member countries, but has become an international cultural activity that attracts huge numbers of local people.
