Movie poster exhibition opens in Hanoi

A poster displayed at the exhibition. VietNamNet Bridge - “The country rises from wars” is the name of the film poster exhibition that opened at the Ho Chi Minh Museum, Hanoi on March 17.

 

Some 200 posters selected from thousands of materials are on display at this exhibition, introducing the basic features of the national movie industry since 1959.

 

The organising board said this exhibition couldn’t offer a comprehensive look at thousands of Vietnamese movies to the audience, but it is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 119th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh.

 

Posters are divided into three phases, 1959-1975, 1976-1986, and 1989 – present, based on the development of the country’s movie industry.

 

The exhibition will close on April 17 and travel to HCM City from May 5-19.
